We are deeply saddened by the tragedy at CFB Wainwright. Many of the soldiers affected serve with units based here in the Edmonton area, and their families are our neighbours.

Our hearts are with everyone who is grieving, with those who were injured, and with the people of Wainwright. We are grateful to the first responders and health-care teams caring for so many. To our customers and staff who feel this loss closely: we are thinking of you.

Libraries are places where people come together, including in difficult times. In the days ahead, may we find comfort in one another.
