👇 Stay up to date each week during construction season with the City of Fredericton’s Weekly Construction Update on Fridays.
And remember: businesses in construction areas remain open, so please continue to shop local.
Happy Friday! Here’s a look at what’s happening on construction projects across Fredericton this week.
✅ Phase 3 of Northumberland Street Infrastructure Upgrades is now complete! This project included the renewal of underground water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer mains. These upgrades improve infrastructure reliability, increase stormwater capacity, and support long-term climate resilience.
🚧 Reminder: Westmorland Street is now closed. Phase 1 is between King and Queen Street - both intersections remain open until mid-August, followed by a shift in traffic impacts as the next phase begins through October. These essential upgrades include replacing aging storm and sanitary sewer mains, along with public realm improvements. Businesses remain open in the area.
