What are they and why are they dangerous?

Lithium batteries are used in a wide range of electronic devices such as: electric cars electric bikes and scooters cell phones laptop computers
· medical equipment like AEDs power tools drones watches battery powered lawnmowers

They are more easily damaged than other types of batteries and can become hazardous in certain conditions since they are more volatile.

Lithium-ion batteries must be taken to an approved drop-off location — never placed in recycling or garbage bins.

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PLAY
Today we celebrate the power of play and to raise awareness about how central play is to every child's development and well-being. ECEs have an incredible role in supporting children's development through play, the primary way children learn.

International day of play was established by the United Nations, this annual event celebrates play as a fundamental right and highlights its essential role in children's cognitive, emotional, and physical development. We can all come together to make sure that every child is able to
fulfil their right to play.

We set out on a walk to Zehrs this morning. We are headed there in search of ingredients to make Pizza! We've been talking a lot about pizza while discussing the country of Italy so off we went to bring a little Italy back to our class.

We stopped along the way to play tag and blow the dandelions. We also gathered for a picture in front of the Welcome to Goderich sign. We recognized the Canada flag and learned about the Goderich Flag too. Such a fun morning! Getting all our ingredients ... Pepperoni & Pizza Sauce, Cheese & Dough, Cookie Break from the Bakery, then time to check out.
