Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health We are a community-driven centre for rural health research, serving the area of Huron, Perth, Bruce and Grey Counties

Local rural physicians will be engaged in supportive and collegial modes and will benefit from opportunities to study issues they themselves identify in their practices. Pharmaceutical firms will benefit from test beds for medications in a regime of clients, prescribers and pharmacists who are eager to participate and easily monitored. June is Cancer Survivors Month, and today marks Cancer Survivors Day. As we reflect on the Celebrate Life Fashion Show that Gateway CERH was lucky enough to attend, we are reminded of the incredible strength and resilience demonstrated by cancer survivors everywhere.

Congratulations to the committee of the fashion show as they raised $11,204 for the Canadian Cancer Society.

Yesterday afternoon, Julia, Madi, and volunteer Nancy spent time with residents at West Huron Care Centre - Blue Water Rest Home in Zurich and Maplewood Manor Retirement Home in Seaforth, planting the raised garden beds for the Cultivating Memories project.

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with gardening, conversation, and smiles as residents helped bring the gardens to life. 🌱

A big thank you to the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation and Canadian Tire for supporting this project and helping make these meaningful moments possible. 💚

There's still time to participate in the 3rd National Survey of Farmer & Rancher Mental Health in Canada.

This national survey invites farmers and ranchers from all commodities to share their experiences related to stress, burnout, resilience, and coping.

Results will build on data from 2016 and 2021 to better understand how mental health in agriculture is evolving over time.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Senior Technology Summer Camp Kickoff this morning at the Goderich Legion! We were thrilled to welcome more than 35 seniors who came out to learn new technology skills, ask questions, and connect with others in the community.

If you missed today's session, no worries! We'll be back every Wednesday morning from 9-12 at the Goderich Legion. Each week includes an education presentation followed by one-on-one tech support to help you build confidence with your devices and technology. Looking forward to seeing you next Wednesday!
