A huge thank you once again to EverythingFenix for their generous donation of headlamps to our team.

Search and rescue operations don’t stop when the sun goes down. Whether our members are navigating trails, conducting evidence searches, assisting with patient care, operating drones, or working around a command post, reliable lighting is an essential piece of equipment.

These headlamps have already become a valuable part of our members’ gear, helping improve safety, efficiency, and situational awareness during training exercises and operational callouts.

Partnerships like this directly support our volunteers and enhance our ability to respond when our community needs us most.

Thank you, EverythingFenix, for supporting Grande Prairie Technical Search and Rescue and the work our volunteers do across the Peace Region.

A few weeks ago, our members headed out to the Dunes Wapiti Staging Area for an evening of field training. Team members put their search and rescue skills into practice by locating a simulated patient, marking key locations using CalTopo, and safely extricating the patient back to the parking area.

Our RPAS (drone) team was also deployed during the exercise, providing aerial support while ensuring pilots maintained and practised their flight competencies in a realistic operational environment.

Training opportunities like these help our members maintain their skills, improve teamwork, and stay prepared for future search and rescue operations.
