If someone has difficulty with memory, cause-and-effect reasoning or applying learning from one situation to another, simply increasing negative consequences may not teach the missing skill. FASD best-practice approaches emphasize adapting supports rather than relying on adverse consequences.

May we take time to listen, learn, reflect, and consider how each of us can contribute to reconciliation and building stronger, more respectful relationships with Indigenous communities.
