Please be advised that Council rescheduled the Municipal Planning Commission (MPC) meeting from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2026, to Wednesday, August 26, 2026, beginning at 4:00 p.m., to be held in the Council Chambers at the Big Lakes County Administration Office.

As well, Council rescheduled the Council meeting on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, to begin at 1:00 p.m. rather than 10:00 a.m. and to be held in the Council Chambers at the Big Lakes County Administration Office.

The Big Lakes County and Town of High Prairie Health Care Professional Attraction & Retention Committee is proud to announce that it received a $1,000 Rural Community Attraction and Retention Grant from the .

The funding supported a Thank You BBQ held yesterday for the dedicated staff at the High Prairie Health Complex.

It was a wonderful opportunity to show our appreciation for the doctors, nurses, technicians, support staff and all healthcare professionals who work tirelessly to provide essential care to residents across our region.
