Twenty-five years ago, 343 firefighters climbed toward danger while thousands fled from it.
They answered the call knowing the risk. They carried out the mission with courage, duty, and an unwavering commitment to others. Many never came home.
Today, the High River Firefighters Association remembers the 343 FDNY firefighters, the first responders, and every innocent life lost on September 11, 2001.
For the fire service, this day is more than history. It is a reminder of what it means to serve — to stand ready, to put others first, and to answer when the unthinkable happens.
We honour their sacrifice not only by remembering their names, but by carrying forward the values they represented.
25 years later, their sacrifice has not faded.
Their legacy has not been forgotten.
We remember the 343.
We remember them all.
