The summer reading challenge isn't just for kids - join Douro's newest book club! We'll be meeting Tuesday evenings, once per month in July, August, and September. We are partnering again with PNLP to bring another Digital Devices Workshop to the library this July. Join us Tuesday afternoons in a supportive group where we'll tackle problems using our digital devices together. Get help navigating or changing your settings, downloading and setting up Apps, accessing your email, and using the Internet. Please call or email the library to register. Summer is here! We have a jam packed calendar for July coming up at DDPL: Learn to Crochet returns Wednesday afternoons, and Family Yoga will be running again select summer Saturdays. Join Summer Reading Club at any time throughout the summer - we'll be doing reading check-ins during our weekly Family Art Drop-In program. For readers 18+ who want to log and celebrate their reading, check out our new book club. For those who missed the last one, we're running another Digital Devices Workshop on Tuesday afternoons with PNLP. We're inviting everybody, ages 0-101, to come grab your official reading log at the library starting June 17th. Every book we read this summer earns a star up on our Superstar Wall, and we're celebrating at the end of the season with pizza. Looking for recommendations? Don't miss the beautiful new show up in the the DDPL Art Gallery by artist Jillian Rumsey titled "The Herd: From Winter Into Spring". You can do so much with a Douro-Dummer library card: come to dynamic programs and events for all ages and interests, access Peterborough and Asphodel-Norwood libraries, get free passes to Ontario Parks and the Canadian Canoe Museum, or stream your favourite British mystery show at home.
