From one team to another:

Before she put on a police uniform, Cst. Whitney Beug wore a different one as a CFL cheerleader. Today, instead of helping the crowd cheer on the Riders, she helps keep it safe as part of our Public Safety Unit.

The teamwork, discipline and dedication Cst. Beug developed along the way helped shape the police officer she is today. Her story is a reminder that there is no single path to policing.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and father figures in our community and within our service.

A few weeks ago, we welcomed Constable Roszell to the Regina Police Service. He started out his policing career with the RCMP and in 2025, he had the honour of presenting his son, an officer with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, with his badge. One year later, Constable Roszell joined the Regina Police Service to continue his career in policing. This time, it was his son’s turn to present him his badge.

A proud moment for both Father and Son.

Last week, Chief Lorilee Davies joined School Resource Officers and others at the Scott Police Academy graduation. The event featured an impressive student-led drill presentation and awards recognizing outstanding achievement throughout the program.

The Scott Police Academy is a unique partnership between Regina Public Schools and the Regina Police Service, offering students a one-of-a-kind high school experience guided by both educators and police officers. Congratulations to the students, and thank you for stepping up, setting an example and embracing your roles as future leaders in our community.

We hope to welcome you to the RPS team in the future!
