Get Ready for Our Summer Reading Program! ✈️🌍📚

Adventure is calling at the Library! This year’s Summer Reading Program invites kids to “Read Around the World”—exploring new places, stories, and cultures all summer long.

From hands-on crafts and outdoor activities to reading challenges and creative programs, there’s something for every young explorer. Kids can build literacy skills, spark their imagination, and make new friends along the way!

Our 2026 Summer Reading Program is made possible through the generous support of The Friends of the Library.

Registration opens on ActiveNet one week before the date of the programs. Programs will be available to view on June 21st.

Thanks to everyone who came to the Oneida Language Beading Craft, and thank you to Patsy Day for leading it!

This program was a great way to learn elements and traditions of the Oneida culture as we celebrate and honor National Indigenous History Month and National Indigenous Peoples Day (June 21).

Meet our Summer Program Coordinator, Grace!

You may have seen Grace around St. Marys. She loves walking, biking, and stopping for ice cream around town. In the winter, you can usually find her at the PRC, either coaching young athletes in ringette or out on the ice herself!

Grace loves learning and teaching, especially when she get to share that excitement with kids in the community. She also enjoys crafting, singing, kayaking, rock climbing, and any new adventure you could think of.

This summer, she can’t wait to read and share stories with all of you at the library. You can even help keep her on track with her reading goals! If you manage to read more than her, there might just be a prize waiting for you!

Keep an eye out on our social media pages for Summer Program updates coming soon!

The Library will be closed on Wednesday, June 13th from 12:00pm to 2:00pm for a staff event.
