Looking for a way to use up leftover zucchini?
These 30-minute sweet zucchini muffins are high in fibre, making them a yummy and nutritious start to your day!
These muffins are a great way to get kids involved in the kitchen. Your little chefs can help mash the bananas and grate the zucchini, introducing them to cooking skills and tools. These muffins can also be kept in the freezer for up to 2 weeks for an easy grab-and-go snack on the way to school!

Thank you to Rick Thompson from the Thunder Bay District Health Unit for joining Lakehead Rotary to share overdose prevention education and hands-on naloxone training.

Rick walked members through how to recognize the signs of an overdose, the critical steps to take in an emergency, and how to properly administer naloxone while waiting for first responders to arrive. His practical guidance helped turn a difficult topic into an accessible and empowering conversation.

Perhaps the most important message of the morning was that substance use does not discriminate. It can touch people from every walk of life, regardless of profession, education, age, background, or circumstance. Behind every overdose is a person who is loved by family, friends, coworkers, and neighbours.

Through knowledge, compassion, and a willingness to act, each of us has the ability to make a difference. We are grateful to Rick for sharing his expertise and helping our members become better prepared to support others in our community.

From a young age, children are exposed to many messages about food and their bodies through family, friends, school, and media. These messages impact how children feel and think about food. Providing a supportive eating environment for your child is key to helping your child foster a positive relationship with food. Developing a positive relationship with food means that your child is comfortable eating a variety of foods that support both nutrition and enjoyment.

Follow these 10 tips to help your child develop a positive and balanced relationship with food and their body.
