Today, we join countless others in remembering Dolly Parton.

For many, Dolly was known for her iconic songs and unforgettable performances. For millions of children and families, she was also a passionate advocate for literacy who believed every child deserved a book of their own.

Through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, a free program that mails books each month to children from birth to age five, she helped foster a love of reading in young readers around the world.

That legacy lives on across Canada by helping make books more accessible to children and families. Here in our communities, it continues through the Imagination Library of Greater Victoria.
