During National Volunteer Week, the Medal of Good Citizenship proudly recognizes British Columbians whose generosity, service and selflessness have made outstanding contributions to the well‑being of their communities.
Today we feature Trudie BonBernard, a 2016 recipient whose countless hours of volunteering have helped to significantly expand the services provided by the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program to Kamloops residents. Under her leadership, therapy dog teams contribute thousands of volunteer hours each year, strengthening well‑being and community care across the region.
