Voyent Alert is our main way to communicate about both emergency situations, as well as community alerts like water outages, boil orders, or garbage collection changes. It's free, and you can get it as an app, as text messages, emails, or as a phone call right to your cell phone or landline.

The more residents who sign up, the safer we'll all be in an emergency situation.

“Giving is not only about making a donation. It’s about making a difference!!” Congratulations Carol Galliott. You are an amazing volunteer!! ❤️

The Town of Woody Point is thrilled to recognize Carol Galliott as the recipient of the Angela Parsons Crocker Volunteer of the Year Award for 2024.

Volunteers make up the backbone of any small community, and Woody Point is no different. Carol's involvement with the Woody Point Public Library Board has meant that not only does our incredible little library remain open and vibrant, but programming and hours have even expanded. Recent programming additions include sing-a-long nights, the Gros Morne Can Fix Things series, expanded readings during the Writers at Woody Point festival, and more.

Thank you so much for your continued dedication Carol! We all appreciate it. Congratulations.
