Take a step back in time as you wander through the hall, and enjoy the beauty and serenity of the gardens. Medieval and Tudor manor house, open to visitors.

Take a step back to our unique Tudor kitchens, imagine great feasts in our Banqueting Hall, and stroll through the 17th Century Long Gallery - the most modern room in the house! Terraced gardens, redesigned by Chelsea Gold Medal Winner, Arne Maynard. Fabulous herbaceous borders bursting with colour and wildflower strips. The Bowling Green terrace is Arne's more recent project to be transformed into an Elizabethan knot garden with borders brimming with traditional plants used for dying and medicines. The Haddon Restaurant serves locally sourced food, and is open to all, whether you visit the Hall or not. The Gatehouse Gift Shop sells a wide range of gifts, and is prides itself on stocking unusual and local lines.

We can’t quite believe it, but we’re in full Countdown to Christmas mode at Haddon.

Halloween half term wouldn’t be the same without some spooky goings-on at Haddon Hall.

Our Little School of Sorcery is back in the hall from Monday 26th October to Friday 30th October 2026, with lots of crafts for your little witches and wizards and a few surprises.

Last weekend to see The Art of Paper exhibition at Haddon Hall

The wonderful Art of Paper finishes this Sunday (20th), so do visit Haddon for last chance to see this celebration of paper craftsmanship. We have been delighted to showcase seven of the brightest names in British paper art, including the incredible Su Blackwell.

The Art of Paper has been an exhibition in collaboration with QEST, a charity dedicated to supporting talented British makers, strengthening the UK’s craft sector.

Talk and Tour tomorrow - Friday 18th September

There are still a few tickets left for a fascinating talk on Haddon Hall’s remarkable restoration in the 1920s and 30s. Our archivist Maggie Burnet tells the story of the 9th Duke of Rutland, John Manners and his passion and dedication for this wonderful place. You will then join Margie on a tour throughout the hall to discover the extent of the 9th Duke’s work and his ongoing legacy at Haddon.
