📚 Secondary School Admissions for September 2027 Are Now Open!

Devon residents only (excluding Plymouth and Torbay): If your child is starting Year 6 this term, you can now apply for their secondary school place through Devon County Council.

✅ You can express a preference for up to 3 schools.

Apply online via our Citizens Portal:

⏰ Deadline: Midnight on 31 October 2026

Late applications will be considered after all on-time submissions. If your preferred school is full, you may be offered a place at a school further from home, and any transport arrangements would be your responsibility. To give your child the best chance of securing a preferred school, please apply on time.

📢 Citizens Portal Maintenance Notice:

Please be aware that the Citizens Portal is currently unavailable due to planned maintenance as we prepare the system for the 2026/27 academic year.

As a result, In-Year Applications cannot be submitted during this period.

The portal is expected to be available again from Monday 3 August, when applications can once again be submitted online.

📢 Primary & Junior School Allocations – Tomorrow (Thursday 16 April)

We’ll be emailing all applicants with the school allocated for children starting school for the first time in September 2026.
📧 Emails will be sent between 9–10am.

➡️ If your child has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP):
You will already have received their placement, so you won’t get another email from the admissions team tomorrow.
We know this can be a stressful time, and our team will be available to help and talk you through anything you’re unsure about.
