Nine in every ten pupils due to start primary schools in Devon this September will hear today that they’ve been allocated places in their preferred mainstream schools. Six thousand, five hundred and twenty pupils – 99.1 per cent of the primary school place applications made to Devon County Council this year – have been offered places in one of their three preferred schools. 📢 Primary & Junior School Allocations – Tomorrow (Thursday 16 April)

We’ll be emailing all applicants with the school allocated for children starting school for the first time in September 2026.
📧 Emails will be sent between 9–10am.

➡️ If your child has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP):
You will already have received their placement, so you won’t get another email from the admissions team tomorrow.
We know this can be a stressful time, and our team will be available to help and talk you through anything you’re unsure about.

Today is the deadline to submit on‑time primary school applications for children starting Reception in September 2026.
Applications submitted after today will be classed as late, which may significantly reduce the chances of your child securing a place at your preferred school.
