The Met Office have issued a Yellow warning for Thunderstorms between 11:00 Today and 23:59 Today.
Heavy showers and thunderstorms bringing disruption to transport, infrastructure and outdoor activities.
What should you expect?
✅ There is a good chance driving conditions will be affected by spray, standing water and/or hail, leading to longer journey times by car and bus
✅ Delays to train services are possible
✅ Probably some damage to a few buildings and structures from lightning strikes
✅ Some short-term loss of power and other services is likely
✅ Some flooding of a few homes and businesses possible, leading to some damage to buildings or structures
What should you do?
Give yourself the best chance of avoiding delays by checking road conditions if driving, or bus and train timetables, amending your travel plans if necessary.
