Finishing up our Sunday celebrating surviving a successful 6 weeks, a bank holiday, and Betty’s 3rd birthday 🎈🥳

I mean the madness of the moment meant we actually forgot it was our business birthday 🙈 but a quiet moment with candles, cake and coffee was the calm we welcomed after the chaos 🥰

Thank you for an amazing season, but most of all thank you for building our business. Here’s to many more birthdays to come 🩵💙

The team carried out a training exercise today, including boat handling in difficult conditions towards Silecroft, anchoring exercises around Haverigg Bar and a live casualty recovery within the Duddon Estuary.

The training allowed our crew to practise boat handling, navigation, anchoring and casualty recovery techniques in demanding conditions, helping ensure the team remains prepared to respond safely and effectively when called upon

Both Tractor and boat are now washed and refueled ready for the next call out.

If you find yourself or anyone else in difficulty at sea or on the Coast, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.

Last nights training session focused on boat familiarization with a few of our trainee volunteer crew, giving them the opportunity to build confidence and knowledge around the boat, equipment and crew procedures.

The session also provided valuable practical time for our three newly qualified coxswains, allowing them to develop their skills and experience while working alongside the wider crew.

A great evening of training, teamwork and learning as we continue to build a confident and capable volunteer rescue team. 🚤🌊

Last night at training the team carried out a land search and rescue training exercise within the sand dunes, focusing on locating and safely recovering a simulated casualty. The exercise tested our search techniques, communication, teamwork, casualty care, and stretcher handling across challenging terrain. Regular training like this helps ensure our volunteers remain prepared to respond quickly and effectively when called upon to assist those in need.

All vehicles were washed and refueled ready for the next call out.

If you find yourself or anyone else in difficulty at sea or on the Coast, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
