Now, 250 years on from the birth of the USA and 375 years since Cromwell's final major defeat of the Royalists at Worcester, you can own an incredible book that celebrates both anniversaries.

We are very excited to launch our latest event that has just gone on sale!

Art Workshop at Pepys House with Alex Stead
Sunday 19th July

Get creative in the beautiful gardens of Pepys House with local artist Alex Stead.

Alex is a watercolour artist based in Brampton, Cambridgeshire. After studying Illustration at Falmouth College of Arts, he went on to build a successful career in London as a storyboard artist, concept designer and visualiser, working across music, advertising, computer games, short films and architecture.

Since moving to Brampton in 2018, Alex has rediscovered his passion for watercolour painting. He now delivers regular workshops at the Mama Hub in Brampton, collaborates with Houghton Mill, and undertakes commissioned work, specialising in pet and house portraits.

Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced artist, this workshop offers a wonderful opportunity to develop your skills, gain inspiration and enjoy painting in the unique and historic surroundings of Pepys House.

Samuel wasn't the only eccentric attracted to Huntingdonshire! On 7 June, our friends at Art at One are giving you a chance to meet some of the others...

Head to Hemingford Grey House for 11am or 1pm for a gorgeous 45min walk enjoying stories of the Victorian artists who flocked to the area – while you take in the stunning sights that inspired them.
