Fab afternoon at Calverton Working Men's Club 60th birthday celebration! Nice to have a drink and a natter and see the fly past of the Dakota C-47 by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight! Brilliant and well done Stacey for organising it all.

Please sign this petition to call on the government to release all the files on the r**e and abuse gangs.

The grooming gangs scandal represents the greatest state failure in modern British history. Public bodies including councils, police and social services actively facilitated and concealed the systematic r**e and exploitation of vulnerable children throughout the early 2000s.

These were overwhelmingly white working-class girls, targeted by monstrous gangs disproportionately made up of Pakistani men. For years, the authorities placed community relations above the safety of British girls.

But inquiries and fine words achieve nothing when evidence is destroyed and both street predators and public officials walk free.

Sign our petition demanding the Government release all grooming gang files it holds.

Today is the 82nd anniversary of D-Day & is being commemorated today across the UK, France, the United States, Canada and other Allied nations, remembering the soldiers, sailors and airmen who took part in Operation Overlord, the largest amphibious invasion in history.

Thousands didn't return and their memory lives on.

These two images highlight the two-tier standards that people are increasingly fed up with. When African footballers wear traditional attire, it is rightly celebrated as cultural pride. Yet members of the Norwegian national team heading to the World Cup have faced criticism for embracing clothing inspired by their own ancestral heritage

People are no longer buying these idiotic woke accusations. Pride in European culture is not racism, and celebrating Scandinavian or any other European or Western heritage is not extremism. The public can see the double standard for what it is. Equality means one standard for everyone, not one rule for some and another for everyone else.

Absolutely delighted to see Longue Drive in Calverton resurfaced this week! In years gone by, this was never deemed important enough to be fully resurfaced and cancelled. Not on my watch!

A supporter in the comments of another post used the analogy of when John Terry turned up in full kit to collect the Champions League trophy despite being suspended and not playing in the final. Everyone laughed and teased and the phrase "doing a John Terry" entered the football lexicon and became shorthand for claiming credit for someone else's achievement.

That's exactly what Labour are doing in Nottinghamshire.

After years of neglect from both Labour and the Conservatives, Nottinghamshire's roads are finally seeing record levels of investment. Through the hard work and negotiation of the Reform-led administration, more funding has been secured and residents are already seeing the difference on roads across the county.

We are only a few weeks into the programme and resurfacing schemes, road repairs and pothole works are taking place right across Nottinghamshire. There is still a long way to go after decades of under investment, but the work is happening and residents can see it for themselves.

So it is quite remarkable to now see Labour trying to claim credit for road resurfacing they had no part in delivering. Securing funding, setting priorities and getting projects on the ground does not happen by accident.

Labour turning up now to celebrate the results is a bit like John Terry turning up in full kit for the trophy presentation.
