Policing in the heart of your neighbourhood 👮🏼‍♂️💙

Our officers from Middlesbrough’s neighbourhood policing team spent a fun-packed morning engaging with people at Teesside Ability Support Centre.

🥰The centre provides a service that offers a range of activities to keep adults with disabilities active and engaged in a respectful, safe and caring environment.

During the visit, officers had the opportunity to meet people, talk about their role within the community and take part in activities.

The morning was filled with laughter, learning and meaningful conversations, helping to strengthen relationships and build trust between local policing teams and the people we serve.

Officers thoroughly enjoyed their visit and were delighted to support the fantastic work being delivered by the centre, which plays an important role in enhancing the wellbeing and independence of its members.

At his court appearance at Teesside Magistrates Court this morning, Paul French, aged 46, of Maltby Street in Middlesbrough, was jailed for four months for possession of a bladed article in a public place ⚖

Middlesbrough officers arrested a man after proactive patrols to target drug activity in the Valley Road area on Wednesday 19th August.

After concerns were raised by local residents regarding drug activity in the area, officers from Middlesbrough Proactive Team conducted plain-clothed patrols when they spotted alleged drug activity utilising the police drone.

He remains on police bail in connection with the drugs offence.

A second man arrested aged 28, who was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, was later released with no further action.
