Sunday 30th August is National Grief Awareness Day. Its purpose is to raise awareness of grief and its stages, encourage people to talk about death, mourning and remembrance, take time for self-care, remember loved ones and support others going through the process.
Grief is caused by some form of loss, which may include death of a loved one, a pet, loss of a career, divorce, or other circumstances. Everyone experiences it differently and over different timescales. Some people might find a grief support group or therapist can offer them support.
