The Tees Transporter Bridge Visitor Centre will be shut on Tuesday 25th of August till Thursday, 10th of September.

A fabulous visit of about twenty classic cars to the bridge.
From Rolls Royce to Renault, Model T Fords, and even a steam powered car doing 10 miles to the gallon… of water.
Many were older, and in better working order, than the bridge!

Busy week last week. Finally, the Peregrine Falcon chicks decided to fly the nest, but it wasn’t so simple.
There’d been three eggs, but only two hatched. The male of the pair flew the nest successfully, but the female ‘crashed n burned’ on take off, and was stuck on an upper section of the bridge.
After much deliberation, and getting permission from relevant authorities, an expert went up and collected the inured bird, and it was taken to Whitby Wildlife Sanctuary.
It was X-Rayed, seen by a Vet, and deemed fit, so the following day returned to the bridge, where it has now flown successfully.

Sorry, but the Visitors Centre will be shut until Wednesday, the 8th of April. Have a wonderful Easter, and take care.
