Due to extreme temperatures today (Friday 14 August), we will close at 3pm to protect the welfare of both visitors to the library and our staff. This is because the indoor temperature at our library is considered to be too hot. Your nearest libraries are Redhill, Horley and Dorking.

If you do need to go out and about please remember to have water with you to stay hydrated.

Don't miss a chance for your children to get creative with textiles!

We're hosting an introduction to fabric craft with East Surrey Textile Group next Friday, 14 August, from 10am to 12pm.
They will be making a music inspired wall hang to celebrate this year's Summer Reading Challenge: Read to the Beat

Suitable for ages 7 to 11. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
£2.50 per child (cash only please).

As part of this month's Community Dementia Café, we're holding an Intergenerational Rhymetime on Friday 7 August, 10.30 - 11am.

With a mixture of old classics and newer rhymes, we hope everyone - young and not quite so young - will benefit from the joy that singing and playing together can bring!

Join us and join in!

Designed to be a welcoming space for people living with dementia and those who support them, our Community Dementia Café, in collaboration with Dungate Manor Care Home, takes place on the first Friday of every month, 10 - 11.30am.
All are welcome to join us for a cuppa, conversation and support.

We will have a wide selection of ex-stock books for sale, perfect for you to grab something to take on holiday. As well as individually priced items, we will be running an offer, where you can fill a bag for £3!

A red heat-health alert remains in place for Surrey, with high temperatures expected today.
