3.Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service (DWFRS) officers will endeavour to respond to your posts as quickly as possible - however we cannot guarantee an immediate reply.

4. This page is administrated by the Station Manager at Wareham Fire Station and station staff.

6. Everyone's views will be considered and treated with respect

🚒 Another Busy Week for Wareham Fire Station! 🚒

Our firefighters have been hard at work this week, responding to a wide range of incidents across the community, including:

🔥 Car fire
🚨 Automatic fire alarms
🚗 Road traffic collision (RTC)
👥 Assisting with crowd control at Durdle Door
🔋 A lithium battery fire

As we head into the summer season, the demand on our crews continues to grow. That’s why we’re looking for more people to join our team as PAID part time On-Call Firefighters at Wareham Fire Station.

Think you need to be a superhero? You don’t.

All you need is commitment, teamwork, and a willingness to protect and serve your local community. Full training is provided, and you’ll gain valuable skills while making a real difference.

🚒🔥 Vehicle Fire This Week 🔥🚒

Earlier this week, firefighters were called to a vehicle fire where crews acted quickly to bring the blaze under control. Thankfully no one was injured, but sadly the vehicle was completely destroyed by the fire.

Incidents like this are a reminder of the vital role on-call firefighters play in protecting our communities — day and night.

Yesterday, firefighters attended an incident at Durlston Bay where a stranded vessel caught fire. Working alongside the Coastguard, crews helped manage the incident and bring the situation under control. 🚒🌊

Firefighters helped this little brood out of a storm drain before reuniting them with their very relieved mama duck. Safe to say the crew at Trowbridge Fire Station really got their ducks in a row!

🚨 SHOUT 🚨 – Significant derelict building fire in Poole last night 🔥🚒

Wareham firefighters were hard at work again last night at a large fire involving a derelict house on Waterloo Road, Poole, supporting crews from across the area.

Huge thanks to the passerby who called 999 and sent in this photo.

Incidents like this show why we need more on-call firefighters at Wareham Fire Station.

One fire engine was mobilised to Wareham Town Centre following reports of a fire alarm sounding. Thankfully, this was a false alarm, caused by the power cut earlier today.

Firefighters from Wareham were called to a road traffic collision just outside the town today — a reminder that emergencies can happen anywhere, at any time.
