2. Posts will be responded to within working hours (Mon- Fri 9-5pm)

3.Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service (DWFRS) officers will endeavour to respond to your posts as quickly as possible - however we cannot guarantee an immediate reply.

4. This page is administrated by the Station Manager at Wareham Fire Station and station staff.

5. Whilst the page is managed by DWFRS we cannot be held responsible for any content posted on the site

6. Everyone's views will be considered and treated with respect

7. DWFRS requests that no swearing, inappropriate language or abusive posts are displayed - these will be deleted

Part of South Street in Wareham is closed to vehicles and pedestrians because of concerns about the safety of a building.

South Street, from Trinity Lane to the Red Lion Pub, is closed to vehicles and pedestrians. The closure is in place to protect the public because there is a risk that debris could fall from the building and cause injury.

Please stay away from the area and do not go beyond the road closure, either on foot or by vehicle.

We are working with Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, local residents and businesses to manage the situation safely and minimise disruption. Dorset Council's Building Control team engineers are currently assessing the building and the road will remain closed until the area is safe. We will provide further updates as soon as more information is available. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Today is the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in America, which saw lives lost in New York, the Pentagon and Pennsylvania.

At 1.46pm, the exact time the first aircraft struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center in Manhattan (UK time), we will join other fire and rescue services in holding a one minute silence in memory of all those who perished.

We will also be remembering the courage, commitment and selflessness demonstrated by firefighters on that day, and to honour the lasting legacy of the 343 who did not return home.

RTC - A351 SANDFORD.

There has been a collision near the Lidl store in Sandford on the A351 involving three vehicles.
This inevitably will cause some congestion in the area while emergency services deal with the incident. Please allow a little bit of extra time if you have to travel this way.
