Did you know, last week while out on a training session some of the Wareham Rangers players bumped into some local Firefighters during their own training drill.

The Wareham Rangers players had worked hard on their hill sprints so seeing a bright red fire engine filled with cold water sparked a conversation...that conversation quickly turned to recruitment and transfers!!!

Firefighters had an early start this morning following a two-car road traffic collision on the Wareham Bypass. The incident caused some delays during the morning rush hour, but thankfully the vehicles were quickly removed and the road was cleared by the .

🚗 Road traffic collision (RTC)
👥 Assisting with crowd control at Durdle Door
🔋 A lithium battery fire

As we head into the summer season, the demand on our crews continues to grow. That’s why we’re looking for more people to join our team as PAID part time On-Call Firefighters at Wareham Fire Station.

🚒🔥 Vehicle Fire This Week 🔥🚒

Earlier this week, firefighters were called to a vehicle fire where crews acted quickly to bring the blaze under control. Thankfully no one was injured, but sadly the vehicle was completely destroyed by the fire.

Incidents like this are a reminder of the vital role on-call firefighters play in protecting our communities — day and night.

Yesterday, firefighters attended an incident at Durlston Bay where a stranded vessel caught fire. Working alongside the Coastguard, crews helped manage the incident and bring the situation under control. 🚒🌊
