Congratulations to Benny Castro on being named the Navy Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Provider of the Year and to Stacy Cruz, Lelani Quenga, and Corinne San Agustin, whose leadership and dedication helped the JRM Fire & Emergency Services earn the Fire Prevention Program of the Year award.

The DoW has officially approved implementation guidance for the Guam Living Quarters Allowance (LQA), a benefit I fought to secure through the FY2026 NDAA, bringing us one step closer to ensuring local civilian employees performing the same work are treated fairly.

Guam’s sons and daughters deserve the same opportunity to serve their nation without being forced to leave the island they call home. 🇬🇺

The DoW has officially approved implementation guidance for the Guam Living Quarters Allowance (LQA), a benefit I fought to secure through the FY2026 NDAA, bringing us one step closer to ensuring local civilian employees performing the same work are treated fairly.

Guam’s sons and daughters deserve the same opportunity to serve their nation without being forced to leave the island they call home.

The Department of War has just approved implementation guidance for the Guam Living Quarters Allowance (LQA), a benefit I fought to secure through the FY2026 National Defense Authorization Act.

This is an important step toward helping recruit and retain our talented civilian workforce and ensuring more of Guam’s sons and daughters continue serving our nation while building their lives here at home. 🇬🇺

It was an honor to mark the 82nd Anniversary of Guam’s Liberation with the annual wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery, followed by a commemorative Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

Together, we paid tribute to the heroes who fought for our freedom, remembered our Greatest Generation who endured the occupation, and reflected on the faith that sustained our people through one of the darkest chapters in Guam’s history.

Tomorrow, stay tuned for a special Liberation Day video reflecting on the profound meaning Guam’s Liberation continues to hold for our island.

It was a pleasure welcoming representatives from the CareQuest Institute and the Hawaiʻi Public Health Institute to our D.C. office.

We had a great discussion on the Dental Care for Veterans Act (H.R. 210) and the Ensuring Lasting Smiles Act (H.R. 3277).

I am proud to join as a cosponsor of these bipartisan bills, which would expand access to essential dental care for veterans and help ensure individuals born with congenital craniofacial conditions can receive care they need.
