Great to visit Elm Park Apartments in the city of Florence and see what’s possible when a community comes together to build more workforce housing.

Elm Park provides 32 affordable homes and is one of just two projects in Lane County with childcare on site. The City of Florence and Our Coastal Village worked together to make this project happen, and it’s an amazing model for communities across Oregon.

In Oregon, we are experiencing the worst drought since 2022. That means above-average temperatures, below-average rainfall, a below-average snowpack and more fuel for potential wildfires. Stay alert this wildfire season, conserve water where you can and stay up to date on conditions near you by signing up for statewide alerts.

Warm conditions with a mixed precipitation outlook are likely to continue for months.

It was great to meet with the Mapleton Water District and talk about the investments needed to replace their aging infrastructure.

I’ll keep fighting to bring federal dollars back to Oregon so Mapleton families have safe and reliable drinking water.

Today is the 61st anniversary of Medicare and Medicaid being signed into law. Let’s take a look at how these programs have helped millions of Americans access the health care they need. 📽️

For decades, Medicare and Medicaid have provided a lifeline for seniors, people with disabilities, children and working families. I will continue to fight to protect and expand these programs.

We all want our government to run efficiently and I will work with anyone to root out waste, fraud and abuse. DOGE catastrophically failed at that mission and cut critical investments to make our government work better for working people. Good riddance.
