This week in Belton, Governor Mike Kehoe signed Rep. Sherri Gallick’s Purple Alert bill — RJ’s Law.

The alert will help bring missing loved ones with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s, and dementia home safely. It started with a heartbreaking loss here in Cass County. Rep. Gallick saw the gap and got it across the finish line.

Hear from State Rep. Sherri Gallick, advocate Danielle Rocha, and RJ’s father, Raymond O’Keefe, on how this bill came to be and what it means to the community.

Missouri led the way. Now we’re taking it nationwide. I introduced H.R. 9118, the Enhanced Alerts for Missing Loved Ones with Disabilities Act, with Senator Eric Schmitt and Congressman Jason Smith h to strengthen these alerts at the federal level and get first responders the training they need.

Today in Bolivar, we marked 25 years since September 11th — the morning we saw the world change, and thousands of lives were taken.

We enjoyed hearing what’s happening here at home, and updated Polk County stakeholders on our work in Washington. Grateful to stand with State Rep. Chris Warwick, Citizens Memorial Hospital President Michael Calhoun, and so many local leaders who keep this community strong.
