⏰ Time: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
📍 Location: Payless Supermarket, Maite

At this event, you can:
• Talk with members of the Guam Developmental Disabilities Council
• Learn about what the Council does
• Get informational brochures and pamphlets to take home

This is a friendly event where you can ask questions and learn more about the DD Council and other disability services.

On March 16, the Guam DD Council teamed up with DISiD to host a disabilities awareness workshop for senators and employees of the Guam Legislature. The event drew participants who represented eight senatorial offices. Thank you to the Sinajana Mayor's Office for use of their facility.

March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

As part of the continued community outreach, the Guam DD Council is hosting a Disabilities Awareness Legislative Workshop, which will be conducted by the Department of Integrated Services for Individuals with Disabilities. All Senators and the employees of the 38th Guam Legislature have been invited to attend.

Topics will include disability sensitivity & awareness training, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and workplace accommodations.

Date: Monday, March 16, 2026
Time: 9:00 a.m.
Location: Sinajana Community Center, Heritage Room

On March 6, Acting Governor Josh Tenorio signed a proclamation recognizing March as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in front of dozens of self-advocates, advocates, disability partner orgnaizations, and community supporters. Additionally, members of the Guam DD Council were sworn-in.

The theme for DD Awareness Month 2026 is "We're Here. Then, Now, Always", which underscores the message that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities have been, currently are, and will always be part of the community.
