Ready to make your business official? A Taxpayer Identification Number is an important step in helping businesses operate legally and effectively.

During the Community Business Clinic and One Stop Shop, organised by the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, small business operators were able to connect directly with the GRA and get practical answers to their tax-related questions.

Selected educational materials are Zero-Rated for VAT, which means eligible items should attract 0% VAT, not 14%.

Before you leave the store, check the VAT line on your sales invoice.

If the supplier refuses to correct the receipt or repeatedly charges VAT on eligible educational items, contact the Guyana Revenue Authority for assistance.
