Nominations for the Louth Volunteer Leader Awards close tomorrow, Friday 23rd October.
Behind every great group of volunteers is a great Volunteer Leader, someone who coordinates, supports and keeps the show together.
Take a few minutes to thank the volunteer leader who keeps volunteering going 🏆

Last year, we celebrated the incredible leaders who keep Louth's volunteer groups going and this year we want to do it again 🏆

💜 South Louth: Iryna Kolotii and Irina Volia, Academy of Success and Happiness;
💚 North Louth: Fiona Boyle, ALONE;
💙 Mid Louth: Paddy Monahan, Dundalk Dog Rescue;
🧡 Leading Young Volunteers: Dominic Hartigan, Louth Nature Trust Little Tern Project;
💛 Trustee of the Year: Youth Work Ireland Louth.

Behind every great group of volunteers is a great leader. They coordinate, support and keep the show together, often quietly behind the scenes, and rarely ask for thanks.
Now it’s your turn to change that. Think of the person who makes your group work, then take a few minutes to nominate them. It could mean the world to them.
This year’s winner could be someone you know.

Youth Work Ireland Louth took home our Trustee of the Year award last year 🏆
Accepted by a member of the team on behalf of their trustee, it was a moment to celebrate someone who gives their time to guide and support an organisation behind the scenes.
This year, think of the trustee who helps keep your group moving forward.
Nominating takes just a few minutes and could mean the world to them.

As part of our 26 of 26 project, we’re introducing you to Dundalk Outcomers! 🌈
Outcomers is a support service and community centre for the LGBT+ community across Louth, Meath, Cavan, Monaghan and Balbriggan, with youth groups, adult groups and family groups for all ages.
And none of it happens without volunteers! 💙
Volunteers can get involved in lots of ways from the Friday youth group, helping at coffee mornings, lending a hand at a Pride event, or even by picking up a paintbrush.
There really is a role for everyone, and the team would love to meet you and find out what you’d enjoy doing.

Meet Fiona, last year’s winner of the Volunteer Leader Award 🌟
Fiona is exactly what a great Volunteer Leader looks like: someone who coordinates, supports and keeps the show together, often working quietly behind the scenes.
Her dedication made a real difference to the volunteers around her, and last year we were proud to say thank you.
Now it’s your turn. Think of the person who does the same for your group and nominate them today.
