A Behind-the-Scenes Look at the Clock Tower Tours 📸

One of the standout highlights of Open House Dublin 2026 at Grangegorman, the Clock Tower Tours sold out almost immediately and quickly became one of the most talked-about elements of the day.

Offering rare access to one of Grangegorman's most fascinating and lesser-known landmarks, the tours gave visitors a unique opportunity to experience a hidden part of the site while learning more about its rich history and heritage.

Led by GDA Project Coordinator Ed Scanlon, visitors were guided through the Clock Tower with a blend of knowledge, enthusiasm and humour, bringing its stories to life and creating a memorable experience for all who attended.

🌳 Tree Management Works Today | 27 October 2026 🌳

We're carrying out tree management works today along the pathway behind the all-weather pitches at Grangegorman as part of the ongoing care of our green spaces and the objectives of the Grangegorman Biodiversity Plan.

⚠️ Please avoid the area where possible and take extra care near the work zone due to increased construction vehicle activity. Follow all onsite signage and instructions.

As part of these works:

🌳 One mature chestnut tree is being carefully removed due to poor health. A replacement tree will be planted in a suitable location on campus.

🌳 A second chestnut tree is undergoing crown reduction works to help balance its canopy, improve stability in strong winds and support its long-term health.

These important works will help maintain a safe, healthy and sustainable campus environment while supporting the long-term health of Grangegorman's trees.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation while the works are carried out safely.

Open House Dublin is over for another year and we're still reliving the highlights. We were blown away by the feedback and engagement we recieved.

We wanted to take a moment to give special thanks to our amazing Open House volunteers. Your enthusiasm, positivity and generosity with your time helped create a welcoming and memorable experience for everyone who joined us, and played a huge part in the success of our events.

We loved meeting and working with you all and hope to see you again at future events in Grangegorman.

High-vis on. Imaginations activated 💭✨

Our first-ever Open House Junior brought young people to the Grangegorman site to explore, question and reimagine the spaces around them.

From the Academic Hub to exploring Grangegorman's public realm and spaces such as 'THE GOLDEN BANDSTAND Sculpture', participants took on the role of young urban placemakers, sharing brilliant ideas for what these places could become in the future.

The event officially launched Young Urban Placemakers, a new multi-year initiative that puts young voices at the heart of Grangegorman's ongoing regeneration.
