delegation led by Dr Ajay Sahai, DG & CEO, met with Mr Sanjay Mangal, Member (GST), on 🗓️ 4 June 2026 at 📍 Kartavya Bhavan, New Delhi, to discuss key GST-related issues impacting exporters.

The discussions focused on the finalization of ⚖️ Supreme Court cases, higher drawback claim challenges, GST rate rationalization for menthol, offline refund sanctioning, and concerns arising from the imposition of RCM. The delegation emphasized the need for a uniform GST rate for menthol and timely, automated refund mechanisms 🔄 to enhance ease of doing business 📈 for exporters.

Mr Sanjay Mangal advised the Menthol Association to approach the State GST Council and route their submissions 📄 through the Council for further consideration. Also present during the meeting were Mr P T Srinath, Director, FIEO; Mr Vaibhav Agarwal, Member, FIEO; Mr Phool Prakash Varshney, Member, FIEO; Mr Yash Parekh, Member, FIEO; and Ms Kaksha Parekh, Member, FIEO. 🤝
