Jawahar Bal Manch is a children’s organization in India dedicated to nurturing the potential, creativity, and values of young people aged roughly 7 to 18 years. The movement is named in honour of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister and a lifelong champion of children’s development, reflecting his belief that the child is “the father of the man.”

The core mission of Jawahar Bal

Manch is to support children in developing leadership qualities, social values, and a strong sense of responsibility through activities that they plan, manage, and evaluate themselves under suitable adult guidance. The ultimate aim is to play a meaningful role in the character formation and holistic growth of children and to extend its reach nationwide.
