Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) today conducted its 24th Stakeholdersโ€™ Interaction Meet through virtual conferencing, chaired by Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Chairman & Managing Director & Director (Finance), IREDA. The meet witnessed active participation from borrowers and other stakeholders from across the renewable energy sector.

Addressing the participants, Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty emphasized the importance of maintaining asset quality and sound governance practices as key pillars of IREDAโ€™s sustainable and long-term growth. He urged IREDAโ€™s business partners to remain focused on responsible project ex*****on, financial discipline and qualitative governance.

Dr. Mohanty also highlighted the upcoming Bharat RE Summit and Expo 2026, scheduled to be held from 2-5 November 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, as a significant platform for bringing together stakeholders across the renewable energy ecosystem. He emphasized that the Summit would provide an opportunity for borrowers and other stakeholders to engage, collaborate and exchange ideas, thereby contributing to Indiaโ€™s ongoing green energy transition and the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

The Stakeholdersโ€™ Meet also featured presentations on IREDAโ€™s financial performance, recent fundraising initiatives and the Action Taken Report arising from the previous Stakeholdersโ€™ Interaction Meet. It was informed that several modifications in IREDAโ€™s financing norms have already been implemented based on suggestions and feedback received from borrowers during earlier interactions.

The participating borrowers appreciated IREDAโ€™s proactive and stakeholder-centric approach and shared further suggestions for strengthening and streamlining its processes and initiatives. The interaction reaffirmed IREDAโ€™s commitment to maintaining an open and responsive engagement with its stakeholders and its continued role as a key catalyst in advancing Indiaโ€™s renewable energy transition and achieving the countryโ€™s renewable energy goals.

Dr. Mohanty also conveyed his appreciation to Team IREDA for their dedicated efforts and expressed gratitude to the Hon'ble Union Minister for New & Renewable Energy; Hon'ble Minister of State for New & Renewable Energy; Secretary, MNRE; and the Board of Directors for their sustained guidance and support.

Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) has been conferred the prestigious "25th Greentech Environment & Sustainability Award" in the "Green Financing" category today, organised by the Greentech Foundation.

The award was received during the 25th Annual Greentech Environment & Sustainability Summit by Smt. Kanchan Bhalla, AGM (Projects) and Shri Virat Chaudhary, Manager (ESG), on behalf of IREDA.

The award recognises IREDA's pioneering role and steadfast commitment to advancing green financing, supporting clean energy infrastructure, and driving India's sustainable development and energy transition.

Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, vide order dated August 18, 2026, conveyed that the President of India has appointed Shri Manoneet Dalal as Non-Official (Independent) Director on the Board of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA), for a period of three years from the date of notification or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Shri Dalal is a legal and financial professional with over 20 years of experience across taxation, financial consulting, legal advisory, public administration and technology. He holds an LL.M. from NLSIU, Bengaluru and a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from Kurukshetra University.

He is Director of Hexa Advisors Limited and previously worked with Deloitte Haskins & Sells and Ernst & Young. He has authored books and research papers on taxation and international trade law.

Mr. Rohit Khatri, Senior Manager (Projects), IREDA, represented India at the 8th BRICS Youth Energy Summit, held virtually on 17th August 2026 under India's BRICS Presidency.

Speaking on the theme "Advancing Energy Access through Clean Energy Deployment and Innovative Financing," he shared India's perspective on driving inclusive and sustainable energy growth.

The Summit brought together around 100 participants, along with representatives from the BRICS Youth Energy Agency, Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL), International Solar Alliance (ISA), and International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), to deliberate on India's BRICS Energy Track pillars:

Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Chairman & Managing Director of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) today received the CSR Lifetime Achievement Award at BridgeBharat 2026. The event was organised by the Odisha Corporate Foundation in collaboration with the Public Enterprise Department, Government of Odisha.

The Honโ€™ble Governor of Odisha, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, presented the award to Dr. Mohanty at the ceremony held in Bhubaneswar.

The award honours Dr. Mohanty's more than 27-year contribution to CSR and inclusive development, including his role in implementing DDUGJY and SAUBHAGYA schemes to extend essential services to underserved regions, including the North-East. His focus has spanned education and skill development, healthcare and rehabilitation, safe drinking water, accessibility and support for vulnerable communities.

Expressing gratitude, Dr. Mohanty said, โ€œI am grateful to Honโ€™ble Governor for this honour. It reaffirms my belief that clean energy and inclusive development must go hand in hand and I dedicate this recognition to that shared vision.โ€
