TRADE TUESDAY | VEHICLE IMPORTATION

Before importing a motor vehicle into Jamaica, ensure you have the required documents: a valid import licence from the Trade Board Limited, the vehicle’s title or export certificate, a bill of lading from the shipping agent, the supplier’s invoice, a tax compliance certificate (TCC) from Tax Administration Jamaica, and a special declaration prepared by a licensed Customs Broker and signed by the importer.

The Jamaica Customs Agency (JCA) joined farmers, producers, manufacturers and other agricultural stakeholders at Caribbean Week of Agriculture, hosted by Jamaica at Ocean Coral Springs, Trelawny.

The event held under the theme, “The New F.A.C.E. of Caribbean Food Systems,” brought together voices from across the region and beyond, to connect, collaborate and shape the future of agriculture.

The JCA was proud to be part of the conversation, highlighting how we support Jamaica’s agricultural sector through:
•Protecting our borders and helping to ensure imported goods meet the required standards;
•Safeguarding consumers and local industries
•Supporting productive sectors through the Government’s Productive Inputs Relief programme
•Facilitating trade through JSWIFT, making it easier for importers to apply for and receive permits and licences.

The JCA remains committed to facilitating legitimate trade, safeguarding Jamaica’s borders and supporting the sustainable growth of our productive sectors.
