Saint Lucia Fire Service Association It was founded together with the Fire Service Act on September 14, 1974.

The Fire Service Association is a bonafide organisation instituted to make representation on matters affecting the interests, welfare conditions and wages of Firefighters within the Saint Lucia Fire Service. It constitutes a fourteen (14) member Executive Committee, with a President who presides over the business of the Association and a Secretary who is responsible for the general administration of the Association.

On Monday June 16, 2025 the Fire Service Association (FSA) culminated the negotiation process with the Government of Saint Lucia (GOSL) through the Government Negotiating Team (GNT), by signing two collective agreements for the periods March 2022 to April 2025 and March 2025 to April 2028.
The new agreements reflect adjustments to terms and conditions of work, fringe benefits and a 6% and 7% salary adjustment for the two respective periods mentioned.The signing process was overseen by the Labour Commissioner Mr. Joseph Joseph.

The Department of Labour and Gender Affairs in collaboration with the Trade Union Fdderation and the St. Lucia Employers Federation hosted the official launch of this year's Labour Day activities at the Financial Centre, Pointe Seraphine on April 23, 2025.
The day's main speaker, Minister of Labour and Gender Affairs the Honourable Dr. Virginia Albert-Poyotte spoke on the Government's achievements in regard to Labour and declared the week of activities officially opened.
Labour day will be officially observed on Thursday May 1st, 2025 with a rally at the Vigie Sports Complex, Castries.
