We conducted interviews with a few staff members and patrons of the Central Library on the importance of reading.

The discussions highlighted how reading expands knowledge, sparks creativity, improves communication skills, and opens doors to endless opportunities. It was inspiring to hear the different perspectives and personal experiences shared by everyone involved.

Reading truly remains a powerful tool for learning, growth, and connection within our community.

"Where Reading Meets Creativity"

The Preschoolers enjoyed a wonderful blend of reading and arts and craft at the Desruisseaux Library! Through Stories, imagination, and creative activity. Students explored the joy of learning in a fun and engaging way.

School Visit

As part of Reading Month, the Central Library hosted a number of school visits from preschools, infant, and primary school students.

We were pleased to welcome Monchy Early Childhood Development Center, Gros-Islet Primary, and St. Aloysius R.C. Boys Primary.

We were delighted to have you visit and encourage you to continue visiting the library as you develop a greater love for reading and learning.
