Water services will continue without interruption during the scheduled power service interruption.

Customers are advised to plan accordingly and take necessary precautions during the interruption. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds and exercise caution when traveling near areas where CUC crews and equipment are working.

CUC line crews continue restoration work in Songsong Village as efforts move forward to safely restore power to additional customers.

As of yesterday, 10 additional customers were energized on Feeder 2 in Songsong Village, bringing the total number of customers receiving power to 442.

Crews have completed restoration work in Songsong Village from Leadership Park to Tonga Cave. Restoration efforts are continuing from Tonga Cave toward Rota Junior/Senior High School.

This schedule may change depending on weather conditions, field safety concerns, system conditions, access issues, material availability, or other operational needs.

Safety Reminder: Customers connected to a generator or solar power system are advised to turn off their main circuit breaker as power crews energize their area. This helps protect CUC line crews, customers, and the electrical system.

The Commonwealth Utilities Corporation (CUC) would like to inform the general public that dye tests and smoke tests will be conducted in Koblerville (Adobu Drive and Alaguan Street - see attached map) from Monday, September 7, 2026, to Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., excluding weekends. The purpose of these tests is to verify if customers within that area are connected to CUC’s sewer system.

To ensure the safety of our CUC crew, certain roadways will be closed during the testing period to allow wastewater operators to access the manholes. Motorists are advised to reduce speed and exercise caution while driving in the area or take alternative routes.

Our power crews continue to put in the work across Rota, repairing lines, replacing damaged equipment, and rebuilding sections of the power system.

These photos show some of the work taking place over the past several weeks. Yesterday, crews were working in Songsong Village near the Rota Junior/Senior High School, and work continues today as they work toward restoring power to the school.

Restoration has come with its share of challenges, but our crews continue to move forward, tackling each challenge they encounter in the field.
