TEGAS TEGAS is a charitable trust that promotes TVET, STEM and Digital Entrepreneurship in Sarawak.

TEGAS was established in 2012 as a charitable trust dedicated to promoting TVET, STEM and Entrepreneurship in Sarawak. TEGAS is governed by the Board of Trustees, chaired by The Honourable Datu Haji Len Talif Salleh, Assistant Minister of Urban Development and Resources. Sarawak Makes History at MRCC 2026

10 September 2026 – Sarawak made history at the Malaysia Rocket CanSat Competition (MRCC) 2026, with two teams brought by TEGAS securing third place in their respective categories.

SMK Padungan placed third in the Rocket & CanSat 1KM category, while Sekolah Seni Malaysia Sarawak took third place in the Rocket 1KM category, competing among 104 teams, including international participants.

Both teams also qualified to represent Malaysia at The APRSAF-32 CanSat International Competition in Thailand, showcasing Sarawak’s growing talent in STEM and aerospace.

10 September 2026 – Sarawak melakar pencapaian bersejarah di Malaysia Rocket CanSat Competition (MRCC) 2026 apabila dua pasukan yang dibawa TEGAS meraih tempat ketiga dalam kategori masing-masing.

SMK Padungan menamatkan saingan dalam kategori Roket & CanSat 1KM, manakala Sekolah Seni Malaysia Sarawak dalam kategori Roket 1KM, daripada 104 pasukan termasuk penyertaan antarabangsa.

Kedua-duanya turut layak mewakili Malaysia ke The APRSAF-32 CanSat International Competition di Thailand, mengangkat bakat Sarawak dalam STEM dan aeroangkasa.

TEGAS-Supported Young Rocketeers Take on MRCC 2026

8 - 10 September 2026 | Over three days at the Malaysia Rocket CanSat Competition (MRCC) 2026 in Felcra Seberang, Perak, teams from SMK Padungan, SMK Penrissen and Sekolah Seni Malaysia Sarawak, supported by TEGAS, put their STEM knowledge into practice through system pitching, rocket motor assembly and technical preparations for launch.

The competition gave the young rocketeers an opportunity to strengthen their engineering, teamwork and problem-solving skills in an aerospace setting.

All three teams successfully launched their rockets, putting their preparation and technical skills to the test.

8 – 10 September 2026 | Selama tiga hari di Malaysia Rocket CanSat Competition (MRCC) 2026 di Felcra Seberang, Perak, pasukan dari SMK Padungan, SMK Penrissen dan Sekolah Seni Malaysia Sarawak yang mendapat sokongan TEGAS menjalani pembentangan sistem, pemasangan motor roket serta persiapan teknikal sebelum pelancaran.

Penyertaan ini memberi ruang kepada para pelajar mengaplikasikan kemahiran kejuruteraan, kerja berpasukan dan penyelesaian masalah dalam bidang aeroangkasa.

Kesemua pasukan berjaya melancarkan roket masing-masing, membuktikan keupayaan mereka menerapkan ilmu dan persediaan teknikal dalam situasi sebenar.

TEGAS Takes Sarawak’s Young Rocketeers to National Stage

7 September 2026 – TEGAS is supporting three teams from SMK Padungan, SMK Penrissen and Sekolah Seni Malaysia Sarawak to represent Sarawak at the Malaysia Rocket Competition in Felcra Seberang, Perak, from 8–10 September 2026.

The three teams emerged as top winners of the Sarawak Rocketeers CanSat Challenge (SRC) 2026, a TEGAS initiative that nurtures aerospace talent through hands-on STEM learning, equipping young Sarawakians with skills and opportunities to take on the national stage.
