TEGAS is a charitable trust that promotes TVET, STEM and Digital Entrepreneurship in Sarawak.

TEGAS was established in 2012 as a charitable trust dedicated to promoting TVET, STEM and Entrepreneurship in Sarawak. TEGAS is governed by the Board of Trustees, chaired by The Honourable Datu Haji Len Talif Salleh, Assistant Minister of Urban Development and Resources. Strengthening Cybersecurity Awareness and Skills Among Sarawak Youth

29 October 2026 | TEGAS Chairman, Datuk Haji Len Talif Salleh and TEGAS CEO Tuan Haji Udin Bin Bujang, together with TEGAS staff, met with a representative from CyberSecurity Malaysia for a presentation session on a proposed collaboration for a Cybersecurity Training Initiative for Sarawak Youth.

The session provided an opportunity to explore potential collaboration in equipping Sarawak’s youth with essential cybersecurity knowledge and skills, while strengthening their readiness to navigate an increasingly digital world.

Through strategic partnerships and collaborative efforts, TEGAS continues to support initiatives that empower young talent and contribute to Sarawak’s digital transformation.

Sarawak Teams Represent Malaysia at APRSAF-32 CanSat Competition

TEGAS is bringing two Sarawak teams, SMK Padungan, Kuching, and Sekolah Seni Malaysia Sarawak, to The 32nd Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF-32) CanSat Competition 2026, held from 28 October to 1 November at the National Science Museum, Thailand.

Both teams qualified after securing third place in their respective categories at the Malaysia Rocket CanSat Competition 2026. Their journey began at the Sarawak Rocketeers CanSat Challenge, a joint STEM initiative by TEGAS and UiTM-MTC High Energy Material Research Laboratory (HEMREL), that develops students’ aerospace and CanSat skills through hands-on STEM learning.

TEGAS wishes both teams the very best as they represent Sarawak and Malaysia on the regional stage. All the best, Team Sarawak!

Dua Pasukan Sarawak Wakili Malaysia di Pertandingan CanSat Asia-Pasifik

TEGAS membawa dua pasukan dari Sarawak, iaitu SMK Padungan, Kuching dan Sekolah Seni Malaysia Sarawak, ke Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum ke-32 (APRSAF-32) CanSat Competition 2026 yang berlangsung pada 28 Oktober hingga 1 November di National Science Museum, Thailand.

Kedua-dua pasukan melayakkan diri selepas meraih tempat ketiga dalam kategori masing-masing di Malaysia Rocket CanSat Competition 2026. Perjalanan mereka bermula menerusi Sarawak Rocketeers CanSat Challenge, inisiatif TEGAS dengan kerjasama UiTM-MTC High Energy Material Research Laboratory (HEMREL) yang membina kemahiran pelajar dalam bidang aeroangkasa dan CanSat melalui pembelajaran STEM secara amali.

Hua Yi Students Explore Innovation at TEGAS Digital Village

28 October 2026 – TEGAS welcomed 34 students and teachers from Hua Yi Secondary School, Singapore, to explore digital innovation and entrepreneurship through hands-on learning.

Through an upcycling workshop by Stinablis Sdn. Bhd. and interactive activities with NEXTGEN Sarawak, students strengthened their creativity, and problem-solving skills while discovering how innovative ideas can turn everyday materials into practical solutions.

SK Mejar Jeneral Dato Ibrahim Explores STEM at TEGAS Digital Village

27 October 2026 – TEGAS welcomed 78 teachers and students from SK Mejar Jeneral Dato Ibrahim for a learning visit to TEGAS Digital Village.

The visit introduced students to TEGAS’ role in empowering communities through digital innovation, STEM and technology. Through hands-on experiences, students explored digital technology, sparked their curiosity and discovered how interactive learning can inspire creative thinking and problem-solving.

27 Oktober 2026 – TEGAS menerima kunjungan seramai 78 orang guru dan murid dari SK Mejar Jeneral Dato Ibrahim ke TEGAS Digital Village.

Lawatan ini memberi pendedahan kepada murid tentang peranan TEGAS dalam memperkasa komuniti melalui inovasi digital, STEM dan teknologi. Menerusi aktiviti interaktif dan pengalaman hands-on, para pelajar berpeluang meneroka teknologi digital, mencetuskan rasa ingin tahu serta mengasah pemikiran kreatif dan kemahiran menyelesaikan masalah.

26 October 2026 | TEGAS celebrated its valued media partners at Media Appreciation Night 2026, bringing together over 60 media professionals at Riverside Majestic Hotel.

The event recognised their continued support in covering TEGAS initiatives and connecting communities with opportunities in STEM, TVET, digital innovation and entrepreneurship.

Day 2: TEGAS Intellectual Property Bootcamp

From protecting ideas to unlocking their commercial potential, Day 2 of the TEGAS Intellectual Property Bootcamp focused on turning innovation into real-world value!

Building on the foundations set in Day 1, participants took a deeper dive into IP protection, registration procedures, ownership structures, and key commercialisation routes from licensing models to strategic partnerships and tech transfers. The cohort also gained valuable perspective on how investors evaluate IP portfolios during fundraising.

A big thank you to Artem PACE and all participants for making this 2-day journey a meaningful one. Here’s to protecting great ideas and turning them into lasting value!

Day 1: TEGAS Intellectual Property Bootcamp

Great ideas deserve bulletproof protection, and Day 1 of the TEGAS Intellectual Property Bootcamp delivered exactly that!

Hosted by TEGAS in partnership with Artem PACE, today saw our innovators dive headfirst into the essentials of patents, trademarks, copyrights, industrial designs, geographical indications, and trade secrets.

From distinguishing tech innovations from creative works to uncovering how smart IP safeguards power long-term commercial value, every session set the stage for real market advantage.

To wrap up an electrifying first day, participants rolled up their sleeves for a hands-on IP Asset Mapping workshop, digging directly into their own ventures to spot protectable gems and chart out immediate opportunities.

Huge shoutout to everyone for the razor-sharp questions and high vibes throughout the room. Get some good rest tonight, because Day 2 starts bright and early tomorrow!
