We are urgently looking for members to join our committee.
To keep the library running, we need volunteers to help manage memberships, finances, administration, and funding applications. This work is all done voluntarily by committee members. While it’s not a huge amount of work, it adds up when there are only a few people to do it all.
We are currently looking for help with the following roles:
Membership
Approving online sign-ups and renewals in MiBase
Resigning members when needed
Responding to membership enquiries from members
Secretary
Record keeping
Taking minutes at meetings
Assisting with grant applications and completing accountability reporting
If the work is shared, then it’s manageable around the other commitments we all have — and we can keep this wonderful community resource running for local families.
Committee members do not pay membership fees after their first 6 months on the committee and are exempt from doing rostered duties. Grandparents or friends interested in volunteering are also welcome to join the committee (and can borrow toys for their grandchildren / families as members).
