🌟 Sponsors Shout Out 🌟

We would like to extend a huge thank you to the amazing sponsors who generously supported the funding of our Student Leader t-shirts for 2026.

Your support has helped provide our student leaders with a strong sense of identity, pride, and belonging as they represent our school throughout the year. These shirts symbolise leadership, service, and responsibility within our kura, and we are incredibly grateful for your contribution towards making this possible.

Thank you for investing in our young leaders and supporting opportunities that help our students grow in confidence and leadership. Your generosity and community spirit are genuinely appreciated by our students, staff, and wider school community.

🌟 NYLD 2026 Highlights 🌟

Yesterday (Tuesday 26th May), Mrs Bennett and Mr K took our 8 House Leaders to the annual National Young Leaders Day (NYLD) at the Kirikiriroa Theatre in Hamilton.

This year’s theme, “Leaning into Fear – Tūwhitia te hopo, mairangatia te angitū,” encouraged students to step outside their comfort zones, face challenges with courage, and recognise that growth often comes from overcoming fear.

Throughout the day, students were inspired by an incredible line-up of speakers including:
⭐ Graci Kim – award-winning author and former diplomat
🦈 Riley Elliott – marine scientist and conservation advocate
🏔️ William Pike – adventurer and founder of the William Pike Challenge
💬 Lola Fisher – youth advocate and change-maker

Each speaker shared powerful messages about resilience, leadership, courage, and creating positive change in the world around them.

We are incredibly proud of how our House Leaders represented our school throughout the day. They demonstrated maturity, enthusiasm, respect, and a genuine willingness to learn and grow as leaders.

A huge thank you to Mrs Bennett and Mr K for supporting and transporting our House Leaders during this valuable leadership experience! 🌟
