☀️ SUNSMART REMINDER - TERM 4 🧢

With the warmer weather upon us, a friendly reminder that all students are required to wear a sunhat outdoors during Term 4 break times, from Labour Weekend onwards.

Students who forget their hat may borrow a spare school hat if one is available. Otherwise, they will need to remain in the shaded area under the verandah outside the school hall during break times.

Thank you for helping us keep our tamariki safe and SunSmart this term! ☀️

We've heard from the Year 4/5 campers that they're having a great time at Wonderworld aMAZEment Park and that they have had a fabulous few days! They're aiming to start heading home at 12:45pm and we're looking forward to seeing them back at school by 2:20pm today. Please meet them by the hall where they'll be waiting with their bags and smiles!

🍯🐝 Black Shepherd Apiaries Honey Label Design Competition 🐝🍯

Today at 1.30 pm, we held a special assembly in the school hall to announce the top six designs from the Black Shepherd Apiaries Family Mānuka Honey Label Design Competition!

We were delighted to welcome Robyn and Ben Stinson from Black Shepherd Apiaries, along with Linda from Kids in Need Waikato, to celebrate the creativity and efforts of our students.

A huge congratulations to all students who entered! Our six finalists each received a certificate and a jar of honey, while the overall winner received a special prize pack. Even more excitingly, the winning design will feature on the official Little Beekeepers Family Mānuka Honey label! 🎨🏆

Students also had the opportunity to see a live observation beehive up close! 🐝

A special thank you to Black Shepherd Apiaries for this wonderful opportunity and for supporting Kids in Need Waikato, with $1 from every jar of honey sold going towards helping local children and families. ❤️
