🎉 Celebrating Pasifika Excellence at Papanui High School! 🎉

The Spacpac Canterbury Pacific Youth Awards celebrate and showcase the talents, academic achievements, leadership, and cultural commitment of Pasifika secondary school students across the Canterbury region.

At the awards ceremony last night, we were incredibly proud to see two of our own recognised:

🌟 Veronica Teofilio – Creativity & Academic Excellence

We celebrate these high-achieving students and the fantastic role modelling they demonstrate for our school community. Please join us in congratulating Olive and Veronica! 👏🌺

At the Ōtautahi Tūhono Kapa Haka Festival 2026 held in the Town Hall last night, in the Senior Whakataetae, our junior rōpū, Te Mātātipu o Papanui, won:

🥇 1st Place Kaiwaiata
🥇 1st Place Kākahu
🥇 1st Place Waiata Tira
🥇 1st Place Waiata-ā-ringa
🥈 2nd Place overall!

It's a Three-peat!
What an absolutely historic run for the Papanui High School Boys 1st XI Football team! For three consecutive years, the boys have shown unmatched dedication, skill, and heart on the pitch, bringing major silverware back to the school back-to-back-to-back.
2024: Linwood Cup Champions.
2025: Linwood Cup Champions.
2026: Stepping up to a new challenge this year, the team took their winning mentality to the next level, fighting hard and playing brilliant football to be crowned the Jim Wishart Tournament Champions!
A massive shoutout to the players for leaving it all on the field, the coaching and management staff for their tireless guidance, and the parents, whānau, and supporters who cheered from the sidelines through all weather conditions. You have officially cemented a golden era in Papanui High School football history.

🎉 We are SOLD OUT! 🎉
We are absolutely blown away by the incredible support for our upcoming Infinite Dance Showcase!

Both our Monday and Tuesday performances at The Grange Theatre at Middleton Grange are now officially sold out. We are so grateful to everyone who has secured a spot to come and cheer on our dancers.

Because all tickets have been completely allocated, we sadly won't have any extra space for walk-ins at the door. To ensure a smooth and safe event for our performers and audience, only current ticket-holders will be permitted entry. We are so sorry to anyone who missed out this time around!

Thank you again for your amazing enthusiasm and understanding. 💃🕺✨
