✨ OSMC is incredibly proud to celebrate both our organisation and the members of our community who have been named as finalists in the 2026 Southland Creative Arts Awards. ✨
These Awards are a prestigious biennial event that celebrates excellence, leadership, creativity, and service across the arts sector in Murihiku. Being named a finalist is an such an honour, and we are thrilled to see OSMC and so many of our kaiako and ākonga recognised.
🏆 Southland Arts Society Leadership in Arts Education Award
⭐️Finalist: Out of School Music Classes
Awarded to an individual, group, or institution that displays passionate, innovative, and accessible education in the arts.
🏆 Community Trust South Community Catalyst Award
⭐️Finalist: Out of School Music Classes
Awarded to a person or group that has made significant contributions to fostering a sense of community and connection within the Murihiku arts scene.
🏆 Sono Sound Lifetime Achievement Award

The standard of entries was exceptionally high, and our judges had some incredibly difficult decisions to make. Being nominated is an achievement in itself and a reflection of the impact you have on our creative community.
