Excellent day at ILT Stadium Southland for the Squash NZ South Island Development Camp, with Emma Millar down to share her coaching expertise with local Juniors and coaches. Great to see coaches from 5 clubs giving up their Sunday soaking up the drills to be able to take these back to their own Junior programmes 👏😃👍😃

🌟SuperChamps Final Day report🌟

It was a day of 5 setters for the Southland teams in action today.

Up in Wellington, the Squash City Women's D Grade team had a 4-1 W over Lugton Park to finish 5th, courtesy of 2 x 5 battles going their way 👍👏👍

In Invercargill the Squash City Women's E Grade team went down to Turangi to finish 6th overall [seeded 8th], with 3 x 5 setters played [2 not in their favour].

The Gore T&C Women's E Grade team finished 7th after a 3-2 W over Tawa 👏👍

The Squash City E Grade men finished 6th after a 3-2 L to Hastings with 3 x 5 setters played [2 not in their favour].

That wraps up a massive week for the teams who can now rest up and start planning for next year!!!

Very well done to the Squash City club and committee on running another excellent National event 👏👏👏👏👏

🌟SuperChamps Day 3 wrap up [excluding Women's D Grade from Tawa covered in previous posts today]🌟

Contrasting results in the last Women's E Grade Pool Play ties this afternoon at Squash City.

Squash City Invercargill had a 4-1 W over Pirates ☠️ to finish 3rd in their Pool after a 3 way countback. They play Turangi on Saturday at 9am in the 5/6 Playoff.

Gore T&C Squash Club had a 1-4 L to Henderson to finish 4th in the same Pool after a 3 way countback. They play Tawa on Saturday at 9am in the 7/8 Playoff.

In Men's E, the well rested Squash City men play Hastings at 9am in the 5/6 Playoff.

In Women's D Grade in Tawa, the Squash City women play Lugton Park at 10am in the 5/6 Playoff after finishing 3rd in their Pool.

Their last game is at 10am on Saturday v Lugton Park for 5th/6th TBC

So close for the Squash City Invercargill Women's D Grade team up in Tawa this morning, going down 1-4 to Geyser City with 2 x 5 setters not going their way 🥵🥵🥵

They now head straight into a Pool Crossover tie v Lugton Park at 12pm.

In Invercargill, the Gore T&C Squash Club & Squash City Women's E Grade teams play their final Pool ties at 2pm.

No men's teams on court today, so let's go ladies!!!!
