Can you Help
Fire brigades use Vehicle Extrication Training to practice saving lives during car crashes. Crews use specialised tools like hydraulic cutters, spreaders, and rams (often called the Jaws of Life) to systematically dismantle a car around a trapped patient.
We are on the hunt for cars, do you have one thats no longer required that you'd like to donate to the Kaiapoi Fire Brigade, so we can practice our skills.

On Saturday, 6 of our team will be climbing the Auckland Sky Tower, they've all been training hard and ready to tackle the tower, this is 1103 stairs, or 51 flights, they'll all be carrying an additional 25kg worth of gear each, all to raise funds for Blood Cancer NZ please feel free to donate to the team, with all donations going directly to the cause.

Tonight we handed the keys over from one of our support vehicles, here we have CFO Matt McPhee handing the keys over to CFO Tim Penney of Conway Flat, cheers Tim, we hope you and the rest of the Conway team put the Ute to good use

We're racing up the Sky Tower in full firefighting kit to raise vital funds and awareness for Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand (LBC).

Every day 8 children and adults in New Zealand are diagnosed with a blood cancer like leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. LBC is the national charity dedicated to supporting patients and their families, this support can last months or even years.
LBC receives very little government funding, so please sponsor us and help us support this great cause.

Don’t forget to turn your clocks back 1 hour tonight and get a little more sleep, Also a good time to check your smoke alarms, make sure they’re clean and free of dust, and test them to make sure they’re all good
