Kia ora whānau,

We hope you all had a wonderful, relaxing holiday break! We are very much looking forward to welcoming all of our returning families back to school on Monday and a very warm welcome to the new whānau joining our school community for the first time this term.

Just a heads up for school drop offs and pick ups: you may have noticed that we have new road signs up, and they are now operational and enforceable.

A 30 km/h variable speed limit applies on Jacksons Road. The reduced speed is in place during the following times:

8:20am – 9:20am

2:30pm – 3:30pm

These times are consistent across all schools in the district, helping drivers know exactly when to slow down and keep all of our tamariki safe.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and we will see you all bright and early on Monday!

Last night was the Grand Final of the 2026 North Canterbury Primary Schools Debating Competition.
From 30 teams across North Canterbury and after a series of exciting knockout rounds, our Year 6 Team (Sam, Tom and Archie) made it to the grand final! The boys put in an outstanding performance and had a very narrow loss to Leithfield.
A massive thank you must go to Sue Spark for her expert coaching. We could not have done it without you!
Also, thank you to all the whānau and teachers who supported our students throughout their debating journey.
We are incredibly proud of all our debaters and the way they represented our school. Bring on 2027! 💙🩵💙
