To celebrate the start of Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, we invite your organisation to officially enter a team in Hoe Wero 2026, a fun and friendly waka ama challenge at Tāhunanui Beach.

Whether you're seasoned paddlers or complete beginners, Hoe Wero is a great opportunity to bring your team together, connect with the business community, and celebrate te reo Māori through a day of friendly competition on the water.

Event Details
• Date: Saturday 12 September
• Location: Tāhunanui Beach
• Karakia: 9.30am
• Racing Starts: 10.00am
• Finish: 2.00pm
• Cost: $250 per team (5 people)
