You’ll explore fluid florals, landscapes, and bold patterns while learning cool techniques like colour blending and using stencils to make your artwork pop.

Join Jane for an interactive workshop where you will learn the basics for creating a unique quilling artwork. Quilling is not just about art — it’s a meditative, joyful process that encourages patience and presence. It’s perfect for anyone seeking a creative outlet that soothes the mind and sparks the imagination.

Guided by a passionate award winning instructor, you’ll explore basic techniques like rolling, shaping, and gluing thin strips of paper to create intricate designs. What you do with your new skills are up to you! Greeting cards, wall hangings, mixed media pictures, gifts and decorations are all possible.
Beginners welcome Teens 14+ or 12 accompanied by an adult.
Saturday 20 June 10am to 2pm.

Fundamentals of Weaving Workshop with Danica Bahn Sunday, 7 June 10am to 2:30pm
Ngutukura offers an immersive introduction to traditional and contemporary Māori weaving, transforming the art into a journey of cultural preservation, community connection, and personal wellbeing.

Participants will be introduced to the fundamental techniques of traditional Māori weaving — where tikanga guides each step from the gathering and preparation of harakeke, to weaving its strands into a skillfully made four-cornered kono (food basket).

The Introduction to Weaving Workshop will include the following:
● Karakia tīmatanga (Opening Prayer)
● Mihimihi (Welcoming and Acknowledgements)
● Whakawhanaungatanga (Introductions)
● Kaupapa ō te Rā (Weaving a Kono)
● Tikanga (Harvesting Flax)
